WHAT IS TRID?

  • A professional organization, as one of seven affiliate chapters of the North Carolina Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (NCRID)

  • A training and professional development resource offering interpreters and interpreting students’ opportunities for professional development and growth. Members of TRID receive discounted admissions to TRID hosted events;

  • An information sharing network.  Members of TRID will receive announcements for upcoming trainings and events in other states as well as those offered by other NCRID chapters and organizations, such as NCAD and NCASLTA, right here in North Carolina;

  • A social outlet.  TRID holds social events and fosters networking among individual interpreters (both educational and community) and among interpreters  and interpreting agencies (agency-owners are members too)

  • Becoming a member of TRID is a way to have your voice heard and to network with members just like you!!
